Barry “BJ” McGriff, Sr., age 37, died October 9, 2017. BJ proudly served our country as part of the Marine Corps. He also gave his time as a Volunteer Fire Fighter. He was employed as a Heavy Equipment Operator for nearly 14 years. BJ will be remembered for his great sense of humor and quick wit. He was always quick with a joke or pun followed by his great smile and would be described as a joy to be around. BJ loved repairing cars; despite his inability to do so. He was an avid learner, often watching National Geographic and other videos on YouTube and debating those topics with friends and family. BJ also loved playing video games.
SURVIVORS: his parents: Constantine and Cecilia McGriff; his children: Ben, Alyssa, and Jr. “Bear”; and his siblings: Tina (George), Angela, John, Jordan, and Kyrstin.
VISITATION: Saturday from 10:00 am - 12:00 pm at Nolan-Fidale Funeral Home Ltd., 5980 Chichester Ave., Aston, PA 19014. FUNERAL SERVICE: Saturday at 12:00 pm at Nolan-Fidale Funeral Home Ltd. BURIAL: Private. In Lieu of Flowers: Donations may be made in BJ’s name at helpingupmission.

BJ was just 3 days older than my eldest son. I cannot imagine the pain you must be feeling at this time. I am so very sorry. Please know my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family, Celie.

Bj,bj,bj....were to start!!! I wish I could hear you tell Candice not to make tea anymore that I make the best an leave it to the chef, or u sneaking food from the skillet as I had my back turned or you yelling uncle bgay loves you girls NOW GO TO BED, bc Alyvia couldn't said Bj!! 12yrs ago you came into my life an you told chris, yea yea she's pretty but her attitude sucks bc I didn't know who you was an you was all up in my room an my stuff on my dresser so I yelled at you but you went right back at me saying girl don't you know who I am??? You don't know who I am??? As I'm thinking who is this nut lol You Said girl you know who I am but I know I never meet u b4 an Chris said babe an this is my cousin Bj just ignore him he's the joker of the family while your saying Chris don't let her lie to u she knows who I am I'm the ginger bread man lol an ever since then you always picked on me!!! An I would do anything to hear you pick on me one last time!!! Gosh I can keep going!!! We have had many many talks about EVERYTHING, GOD, our relationships, aliens, politics, you name it I'm sure we talked about it!! I know sum of your deepest secrets an you know mine!!! I wish I got back to u 2weeks ago when you in-boxed me I'm.so.mad at myself!! I pray that this can help our other loved one's open their eyes!!! The girls love you so so much!! You was a big part of their lives the last 4yrs!! Helping get them to school when missed the bus or just bc You wanted to take them homework, dinner, talking to Kayla when she was down!!! Smh, this is still unreal!!! watch over the girls for us when we can't have our eye on them!!! This sucks an I won't say good bye but till I see you again!!!
