Gregory George Godun Lived a very good life.As per my belive Life is a gift from God. He gives it as a loan for number of years which fixed & something which is belongs to Him takes it back.Gregory with his love gave to us his lovely daughter we call her Yasmeen He loved my son Taher & always respected him with his love. Yasmeen & Taher gave us two grandsons Mehdi & Sajjad. This how we are tied to Gregory & his family. We pray to Almighty God to Gregory a place in Heaven. We pray the whole family of Gregory G. Even though I only spoke with Mr. Godun on a few special occasions, I had the true pleasure of meeting him and listening to his many incredible stories. Every instance when I was with Mr. Godun, he would always brighten up the room with his warming smile and hilarious jokes. I will always remember him as a strong, loving and incredible man. Gregory George Godun, age 92, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on June 24, 2018 at his daughter Yasmeen’s home. He was raised in Hudson, PA and was a 1943 graduate of Plains Memorial High School.  Gregory lived in Eddystone and moved to Middletown Twp. where he resided for 60 years before moving to Maris Grove in 2011. He served in the US Army Air Corps during WWII as an airplane and engine mechanic in the Asiatic Pacific Theater. He worked for Scott Paper in Chester for 44 years, retiring in 1987 as a Resin Plant Operator. He was active in the union at Scott Paper, serving as the financial secretary and helping to establish the Scott Paper Employee Federal Credit Union.  Gregory was a lifetime member of American Legion Post 926 in Aston and a member of VFW #1521 in Chester. He was also a member of St. Herman of Alaska Orthodox Church in Wallingford where he served as the financial secretary and was actively involved in securing funds to establish their new church in Gradyville.

He was the son of the late Talimon and Mary (Kulick) Godun and husband of the late Sophia (Zukowski) Godun (1983).

SURVIVORS: his children: Gregory G. Godun, Jr., Suzanne Baker (David), and Yasmeen Melany Ali Khan (Taher); grandchildren: Jennifer Miller (Laurence), Sarah Baker, Mehdi M. Ali Khan, and Sajjad M. Ali Khan; and great grandchildren: Eliza, Katherine, and Laurence Miller III. He is also survived by his nephew Alex Godun and his godsons Sebastian and Aidan Godun.

VISITATION: Friday from 10:30-11:45 am at the Nolan-Fidale Funeral Home, 5980 Chichester Ave, Aston, PA. Funeral Service: Friday at 12:00 pm at the Nolan-Fidale Funeral Home. BURIAL:  Edgewood Memorial Park, Glen Mills. In Lieu of Flowers: Memorial Donations in Gregory Godun’s name may be made to the Riddle Healthcare Foundation, 1068 W. Baltimore Pike, Media, PA 19063.
