John Peter Malick, age 90, a lifelong resident of Chester, passed away on December 5, 2017. He was raised in the west end of Chester and was a graduate of Resurrection of Our Lord Parochial School and St. James High School, Class of 1945. John was a U.S. Veteran having served 2 years in the Marine Corp and 4 years as a Merchant Marine. He was employed at the Philadelphia Electric Company for 40 years. John was a Eucharistic Minister, a youth athletic coach, a Boy Scout leader, and a recipient of the St. George Emblem Award. He was a member of the St. James Choir and a parishioner of Saint Katharine Drexel Church. John enjoyed spending summers in Ocean City, NJ.

He was the son of the late John Joseph and Susanna Hubert Malick and brother of the late Marie Silva, Dorothy Hodgson, and George Malick.

SURVIVORS: his loving wife: Catherine “Pat” (Moran) Malick ; children: Marie Egee (Jeffrey), John Malick (Pat), Cathy Durning (Mike), Michael Malick (Diana), and Joseph Malick (Cheryl); grandchildren: Jeffrey, Brian, Kevin, Steven, Jenny, Alyson, John, Cathy, Krissi, Patrick, Melissa, Michael, Elizabeth, Jessica, and Joey; great grandchildren: Adrián, Tomás, Sydney, Joey, Katelyn, Makayla, Vanessa, Alyssa, Luigi.

VISITATION: Saturday from 9:00 - 10:45 am at St. Katharine Drexel Church, 1920 Providence Ave., Chester, PA. FUNERAL MASS: Saturday at 11:00 am at St. Katharine Drexel Church. BURIAL: Lawn Croft Cemetery, Linwood. In Lieu of Flowers: Donations may be made to Taylor Hospice, 300 Johnson Ave., Ridley Park, PA 19078. Condolences: www.nolanfidale.com.
