Maureen Anne Dragoni passed away on February 8, 2018, after a sudden illness. She was surrounded by her loving family. Maureen was the third child of Dorothy & James Dragoni. She was a lifelong resident of Brookhaven, PA. She graduated from Sun Valley High School in 1975 and started her career with a degree in business. Maureen discovered her passion, Nursing during the 1990’s. She obtained her Master’s degree in Nursing Education from Neumann University in 2010. Maureen was a respected bedside nurse at Crozer Chester Medical Center and a Nurse Educator at Delaware County Community College. She was fond of her nursing students and derived great satisfaction from her role as a teacher.  Maureen loved ballroom dancing and was well liked among the local dance community. Maureen loved Cape May, NJ, where she owned a second home. She often referred to Cape May as her “happy place.”  Maureen was well traveled both within the USA and abroad. Her favorite travel companions were her sister, Dorothy and her dear friend, Joseph Finio. Perhaps, Maureen’s greatest accomplishment was her role of being a daughter. She was a beacon of strength for her parents. Her love and dedication was unwavering during the final five years of her mother’s dementia. Maureen has been a rock of support for her father since her mother’s death on November 9, 2017.

Maureen was so special. I knew her as a wonderful online Maltipoo Club sister. Her and Cupid sent my puppy Lexi special gifts because that’s what a sweet lady she was. She loved everyone especially little Cupid, her rescue pup. May God bless her family, Joe and Cupid. I’ll be hugging the blanket she sent my puppy tonight and remembering what a good friend she was even though we never met in person. I know the Angels in Heaven are rejoicing they have another Angel that has joined them. I’ll miss you Maureen

I had the pleasure of knowing Maureen during my ten years as President of Crozer Chester Medical Center. She was always positive and happy. Every patient she cared for benefited from her knowledge, caring and compassion. I admired her and appreciated her suggestions to improve the quality of care. My condolences to her family and close friends. Joe Saunders
