Tina and Judy, Your Mom was indeed a special with a heart for serving the Lord however He asked her. Bruce and I spent many good times with both your parents working and “playing” in church and with the Uno Fidelis class. What ever Rita did she did as unto the Lord. When I worked at CCRMC, I was always glad to have Rita on our team. Never had to check her work, ask her a second time or ask for a do-over. Her love for our Lord could be seen in all that she did while sharing her special smile. We will pray for you during this time. If you could hear my cough, you would know why Bruce and I could not be with you. Bruce and Pat

We were truly blessed to have Au t Rita in our life. She will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew her. I pray God’s comfort, and strength will be with her family as they say their goodbyes to this sweet and precious lady. She had a strong faith and loved her Lord and Savior so her absence is only temporary as one day we shall see her again in that glorious place called Heaven. May God’s peace shine upon her family.

An absolutely wonderful soul. She was a 2nd mother to me and will be greatly missed.
February 7th, 2018 at 8:26 am, Rita like her husband Allan before her, was escorted by angels into the presence of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She departed for Heaven, while at Williamsport Regional Hospital, in Williamsport, PA. Rita was 79 years old.
Rita was born on July 27th, 1938, in Mountain Falls, Virginia in the Shenandoah Valley. She was born “Reda” (but didn’t like the spelling of her name, so she changed it). She was known by several names: Rita, Suggie (because she was as sweet as sugar), Mom, Grandmom, MomMom and Gigi. She was one of twelve children, of the late Launia Virginia (Racey) and Walter Lee Nicholson. Growing up in the mountains of Virginia, the family moved several times in her early years eventually moving to Pennsylvania during her early adolescence.
Rita met Allan, while working in a chicken processing factory, they were married in 1957. After their marriage, they lived in Gap, PA before settling in Boothwyn, PA. She lived there for 57 years. Rita took a leave from working, while her children were small. She returned to work at Ship N Shore, in Upland, PA and then at Crozer-Chester Medical Center, in Upland, PA where she worked for 26 years until her retirement in 2002.
Rita helped Allan prepare many meals with love, for their church family functions. Her gift was the gift of serving others. She was happiest when she was helping others, in any capacity. She enjoyed playing cards, shopping and family reunions with her sisters. She was a wonderful seamstress, teaching her daughters this great skill. She was a great friend to all and the best mother a girl could have. She loved and cherished everyone she knew and in turn everyone loved and cherished her. She will be missed by many, but most especially by her daughters, grandchildren, nieces and nephews
She is survived by her daughters, Tina (Scott) Hall of Paradise, PA and Judi (Ron) Hall of Pennsdale, PA. Nine grandchildren, John Hall of York, PA, Kevin (Megan) Wiles of Kirkwood, PA, Elizabeth (Matt) Woodruff of Muncy, PA, Stephanie (Auston) Martzall of Myerstown, PA, Nathan Hall of New Mexico, Darrell Hall of Paradise, PA, Rebecca (John) VanKirk of Altoona, PA, Daniel Hall of California and Joshua Hall of Pennsdale, PA. Eight great-grandchildren, Gavin, Jessica, Katie, Juli, Brayden. Oliver, Adeline and Guinevere who is expected to arrive in April. Her sister, Lillian (Jerry) Kreider of West Chester, PA. A multitude of precious nieces and nephews, and many very dear friends. She loved each and every one of them with her whole heart.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Allan Trego, her parents Launia and Walter Lee Nicholson, and siblings Myrtle Laus, Helen Riley, Mary Gregor, Dorothy Oates, Lena Conover, Josephine Woods, Elsie Reese, Harrison Nicholson, Freda James, and Mattie Coy.
